The artist behind INKUBUS INK. -
I’m a small-town tattoo artist with a lifelong love for art, unusual things, and creating pieces that actually mean something to the person wearing them. My style ranges from delicate fine-line work and florals to bold, detailed and sometimes weird — and I love when a client brings me an idea and gives me the freedom to turn it into something completely their own.
INKUBUS INK was created to be a little different from the traditional tattoo-shop experience. My studio is private, laid-back, judgment-free, and autism-friendly. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, taking a break, bringing headphones, using a fidget, talking my ear off, or sitting in complete silence. There’s no “right” way to get tattooed here.
When I’m not tattooing, I’m usually creating something, collecting something strange, messing with plants, going down a rabbit hole about history or the paranormal, or learning about whatever random subject has caught my attention that week.
I’m proud to create art right here in small-town Mount Vernon, Georgia, and even more grateful for every person who trusts me with their skin and their story.
After a couple of days of taking care of your tattoo, you will have a little bit of peeling. This is absolutely normal. The color may seem dull at first but will brighten once healed.
Second Skin Tattoo Aftercare Instructions
Second Skin aftercare should be left in place for approximately 3-4 days.
During these 3-4 days, the tattoo will not look the best under the Second Skin due to plasma building up under the skin. The plasma is helping the tattoo heal, so please do not remove it just because you see this. Be patient with the healing process while using Second Skin. It will be worth it.
After 3-4 days of Second Skin, follow these instructions for removal:
1. Peel the edge or corner of the second skin. If this is difficult, you can use medical grade tape on the corners to help lift it off.
2. SLOWLY pull the film off. DO NOT pull it straight up and away from the skin. Instead, pull the film back and across the skin while holding you skin taut.
3. Wash tattoo to its entirety with your hand with unscented soap.
You may experience some redness around the tattoo area where the Second Skin was applied to the un-tattooed skin. You may apply an unscented lotion, such as Lubriderm, or Jergens to the tattoo once the second skin is removed and washed. If you have any questions or concerns, call your tattoo artist.
